 SUV EVENT AT FARAYA

Jeep leads the way at the 4 Wheel Drive and Outdoor Sports Exhibition

Jeep displayed its legendary go anywhere, do anything off road capability at the 4 wheel drive and outdoor sports exhibition recently held in Warde-Kfardebian.

The event gave participants the opportunity to experience off-road driving on a number of different terrains, including gravel, rocks and sand, with professional drivers putting a range of 4 wheel drive vehicles through their paces on a 5km off road test track that was specially planned for the event.

“The Jeep Cherokee and Wrangler excelled in all driving conditions, going, in many cases, where no other 4 wheel drive could go,” said Cesar Aoun, Chrysler Group Manager at T. Gargour & Fils. “This once again underlined the go anywhere, do anything attitude that is the heart of every Jeep, highlighting the reasons for the brand’s incredible popularity - built on nearly 70 years of legendary heritage, Jeep is the authentic SUV with class-leading capability, craftsmanship and versatility for people who seek extraordinary journeys.”

The Jeep Cherokee has remained a leader in the mid-size sport-utility vehicle (SUV) segment since its introduction, and remains true to its legendary 4x4 heritage with the availability of the active-on-demand Jeep Trail Rated four-wheel-drive system - Selec-Trac II. On-road ride and handling have been improved and refined with new independent front suspension, new five-link rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. Hill Descent Control System, Start Assist and many other advanced features are standard as Jeep Cherokee continues to build on its long list of safety and security technologies.

Mercedes-Benz SUVs takes rough stuff in their stride

T.Gargour & Fils and Mercedes-Benz changed the perception of their luxury range of off-road vehicles during their participation in the 4x4 and outdoor sports event in Warde Kfardebian this summer.

All car lovers enjoyed this event which took them over a special trek designed by French professional pilots within the area of Warde.

Everyone was impressed with their drives in the event which included GL-Class, ML-Class and chic and cheerful entry-level GLK-Class, which was the star of the event.

“The objective was to show as many people as possible that our luxury SUV range is not just meant for the runway but is far more capable off-road,” said Negib Debs Brand manager of Mercedes Benz at T.Gargour & Fils Lebanon. “Those who drove the GLK were amazed at its off-road capability. However, every vehicle performed far above expectations”.

In General, guests drove on routes set-up by Philippe Simonin, French most experienced expert in off-road routes and guided by Lionel Erhard, French expert and instructor in 4x4 off road driving
